Hummus Competition… The Result!

For those of you who came to the co-op’s hummus competition you will remember how delicious this was. For those of you who haven’t had a chance to try Louis Waterman-Evans’ inspired recipe, you seriously missed out, but, thankfully you can replicate the winning version here:


200g dried chickpeas

3 tablespoons tahini

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1 clove garlic

Salt & pepper to taste

Dash of water


-soak chickpeas overnight -boil up chickpeas for 20 minutes

-drain, leave to cool

-finely chop up garlic

-blend all ingredients with a handheld/ good blender

-add warm water to get required consistency
