What is a food co-op?

A food co-op is esentially a food distribution outlet organised by a community, in this case the community at Warwick University.

Our plan is to order food every week; things like grains, pasta, pulses, tins, dried fruit, and anything else there’s a demand for. We’ll also be selling veggie boxes, all on Tuesdays in the Atrium from 12-5pm.

By sourcing food from sources that don’t harm the environment we can all have access to cheap food that’s fair for everyone, and skip the supermarket chains.

Anyone is more than welcome to get involved, volunteering their time, recipes or ideas. It’s £5 to become a member of the food co-op, and this means you get 10% off everything, plus a chance to make decisions about the food we sell and how we run.
